SF/Peninsula Branch Enjoys Holiday Party with Bay Area Literary Agents

And a good time was had by all! Both well-attended and lots of fun, the San Francisco/Peninsula California Writers’ Holiday Party was a terrific success. Members and friends hobnobbed with literary agents Amy Burkhardt, Felicia Eth, Verna Dreisbach, Gordon Warnock and Andy Ross Saturday, December 12th at The Peninsula Regent.

Many members were able to give their “elevator pitches” to the agents and thereby jumped over the slush pile!

“I enjoyed the party very much,” said Amy Burkhardt of Kimberly Cameron and Associates. “Already I have received several queries from the writers that I met.”

President Tory Hartmann introduced each agent and let them tell the club members gathered what they represent and what they are currently looking for. “I wanted each and everyone present to see how easy going and accessible literary agents can be. I loved that the agents stayed on and on chatting with our members for the full length of the party.”

The raffle was also a great success with the top prize an interview with Michael Killen, host of Michael Killen on Creativity. He will post the interview on YouTube.
